Matthew K. Brokl is an associate attorney who practices in general government law with a concentration in the areas of land use, economic development, and EDA and HRA matters. He was an attorney and partner in our firm from 1995 until 2007 when he left to become Associate General Counsel with a large restaurant company in Minnesota.  Matthew returned to Campbell Knutson in 2017 bringing with him experience from the “corporate side” of real estate development, litigation, and business development worldwide.  Matthew works with nearly all of the firm’s municipal clients and previously served as the City Attorney for Burnsville, Orono, Big Lake and Monticello.  He currently serves as the City Attorney for the cities of Montrose and Lonsdale. During his spare time, Matthew enjoys playing guitar in a local band and biking with his family. He is proud to serve on the Board of Directors of the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota.
